I went to my first pride, I’ve been out for years but not been to a PRIDE until earlier in July! A lot of fun was had and I mixed the pride parade with a small birthday meet. A couple of friends managed to have time free and met me up for the day, to be fair .. I didn’t really give much notice as I had the idea at the last minute!!
Here are a few of my favourites from the day. You can see the entire 95 photo collection here in this photo set on flickr.

Ps. Love those ‘nobody knows I’m gay’ type shirts, my friend bought me one but I’ll have to remember it next time I’m at PRIDE ;)

I shot 195 pics on my G9, plus another 5-6 on my INQ1 phone on my way back. Got scared when it started to rain as some raindrops got onto the lens, but I needn't have worried, soaked it up and out using my t-shirt, and anyway it survived a major soaking in Paris last year without any harm. :( Lesson learnt though, need to get a polariser to slap onto an adaptor (got one at home) to fit on the front of the G9 for protection, plus remember to bring along a spare battery next time I'm doing lots of shooting.
Your message the day before the parade said about charging batteries which reminded me to charge my second battery! Thanks for the tip :D
I can't wait to see what you captured. Also I've been thinking of modding an over large sandwhich bag into a waterproof camera protector ;) .. we'll see. I generally don't like to be out in such downpour so its unlikely that I'll need that kind of protection for my camera as its water sealed, however its better safe than sorry.
Cheers for meeting up with me for the day and sharing in PRIDE with me. I enjoyed our Italian lunch :)
